Targets and tasks

The basic purposes of activity of the organization are:

• protection of social and economic, political rights and interests of veterans and pensioners of military service in bodies of the government and local self-management and other organizations;
  
  
• association of efforts of military men of a stock in the decision of social and economic problems;
  
  
• rendering of social support, legal protection and material aid to the military men who have been transfered to the reserve or in resignation, in connection with reorganization and reduction of armed Forces of Russia;
  
  
• the statement in public consciousness of belief, that care of veterans and victims of wars (local conflicts) is the moral debt of a society and the state.
  
  
• assistance to strengthening of defensibility of the country, unity of the Russian Federation, achievement of the civil consent, the statement in a society moral and spiritual values, to preservation and enrichment of national culture and traditions of peoples of the Russian Federation, overcoming of displays of racism, chauvinism, political extremism and nationalism;
  
  
• participation in activity of the international veteran movement for hardening of the world and safety of peoples on the basis of norms of international law and the Russian legislation.
